Leadership

Threshold is led by a team of six people who together oversee every aspect of the Church's life. This team includes Joy Liddle, Kath Atkins, Paul Stephenson, Simon Baker and Carl Belcher. The team is led by Pete Atkins.

 

Much of the focus of the leadership team is the encouragement, care and support of the congregations already established, whilst planning to extend access to Threshold into other locations.

 

Each congregation has it's own leadership team who direct the life and community engagement of Threshold in their locality. See congregations for further detail.

 

Pete and Kath Atkins

Pete has led Threshold as part of a team since we began in 1995. He and Kath live in Nettleham, where he was a GP for 25 years, until retiring to give more time to Church leadership. They have five children who have grown up in Threshold.

Pete and Kath are part of the Leadership of Ground Level (the network of churches that Threshold is part of). They are both employed part time by Fresh Expressions - a national initiative of the Anglican and Methodist Churches which aims to encourage the establishment of fresh expressions of church throughout the UK and beyond. Pete is also currently chairman of Churches Together in All Lincolnshire. Despite all that he is relatively human and has a passion for seeing new communities of Christians started in order to give everyone the opportunity to easily discover and engage with God in the place where they live or through the people they do life with.
